It is a pleasure to greet you and welcome you to First Baptist of New Berlin. Our name says it all: FIRST: Our church began over 175 years ago here in New Berlin; we were the first of the Baptist churches in the Unadilla valley. Our church edifice was built in 1840 and has been a part of our worship ever since. In 1900 the church was moved by mule and rolled logs to its present site at 30 South Main Street. BAPTIST: Our faith would be best described Baptistic following the precepts of the historic Baptist faith. We are fundamental in our beliefs and take the Bible to be literally true and the authentic Word of God. Church: we are a community of Believers in Jesus Christ who compassionately care for one another as we fellowship together. We are an Independent Baptist Church that holds to the fundamentals of the faith.
